Hi Rebecca,

A backhoe digging underground cut MCI and Videotron fibre optic lines about 1 hour upstream from our data center.

I really apologize for what happened, at approximately

9 am Eastern time a backhoe on a construction site about half way between Montreal and Ottawa Canada (about an hours drive from our data center) dug into MCI and Videotron fibre lines crippling them.

MCI and VIDEOTRON are the companies that provide the fibre optics into our data center.

It affected hundreds of connected businesses in the ottawa area.

Once they found the location of the cut fibre it took them about 4 hours to repair the damaged lines.
