Hi! I am a licensed real estate agent in Sacramento California! I have worked in the RE industry for about 20 years now. I started in San Francisco where my family has a successful real estate company then moved to San Jose and ended up here in Sacramento for the past 15 years. As much as I love and adore my father, it was no picnic working in the family business so I had to follow my own path. Now that I am older I can look back with a different perspective but as a young woman in my 20's I had to set out on my own.
I have had many years of marketing and sales experience and training from some of the best teachers.
I started a company called, California Party Plan Network (
www.CaliforniaPartyPlanNetwork.com ) as a resource for "Local" WAHM's to connect with local customers. Too often when I was in need of Pampered Chef products, Tupperware products, or anything that involved looking for a local representative, I had to visit numerous websites thatonly had one consultant listed and that person may have been in another state. I wanted to find local people and when I arranged a local vendor fair
for a charitable organization, I had a difficult time finding people locally so I saw the need to bring together WAHM's with people in their own community.
As California Party Plan Network took off, I also met many local stay at home as well as work at home moms who really wanted and needed some adult interaction as well as things to do with their children in a group setting as opposed to going out alone. Out of this Metro Moms (www.MetroMoms.org ) was born.
Metro Moms is a community organization that supports the many needs of families withchildren. Regardless of whether the parents are work at home, stay at home, work outside of the home, or are single parents; having a place to come together and meet people with common interests is essential and beneficial. Play groups, Mom's Night's out, and more have evolved. Moms get together and
discuss their needs and wants and we do the best we can to make it happen for them. Currently we are putting together a group of "Certified Babysitters" who are trained in CPR.
I am a Mom to a 15 year old son. Married for 8 years to a wonderful man who puts up with all of my quirks and loves me anyway. I recently took an online questionaire called, "Which Desparate Housewife are YOU?" I thought I would come out as Susan but my results said I was most like Lynnette. My husband agrees. LOL!!! I guess I would be going nuts if I had as many little ones as she does while trying to maintain my own identity. I am the oldest of six so it is fitting that I would have only one child as I already feel like I have raised a brood with my younger sibs. Two of my sisters
also have only one child each and my brother has five kids with his one and only wife of 16 years.
When my son was little, I felt very isolated as a single mom. I moved to Sacramento from San Jose and I didn't know anyone. Most of my friends were single and my lifestyle didn't mesh with theirs because I was also a mom. It was a lonely time for me. I attended too many local events alone. My son and I would do things and activities by ourselves. We enjoyed ourselves and each other though it would have been even more fun to have known others who shared our lifestyle.
Metro Moms and California Party Plan Network go hand in hand to be a place of support for parents in all situations. We hold monthly meetings for CPPN and it is always open for anyone who wants to learn about working in their own business. (This is the best place to come and meet reps from a variety
of companies.) As for our active members of CPPN who do work for themselves, we put together Mom Packs to hand out in our community and we brainstorm ideas and share knowledge to motivate us and to increase our prosperity and our lives.
I've had people contact me from other states who would like to have the ability to advertise locally so we have started USA Party Plan Network (www.USAPartyPlanNetwork.com) to help promote local people in other states like we do in California.
We are growing in every county of California to become the first place to look when you want to find a local representative to help you host a show or purchase products. Metro Moms is also growing in each county of California. So far Sacramento and Placer Counties have the highest participation and we anticipate Metro Moms branching out in every county of California by next year.
This has been so exciting for me because I have always been good at promoting other people but I never had the opportunity to do so in such a way as I am doing with the WAHM's. Now, I am serving the needs of two huge groups and my rewards have been that this is great exposure for me as a real
estate professional. So my third endeavor is that I have formed a team of experienced realtors to serve our local communities. www.RealEstateLady.org was born and is doing exceptionally well.
Many more opportunities and doors have opened up for me as a result of these businesses and I am so grateful! Advertising Moms, and Tara Crooks as well as Kelly McCausy and WAHM talk radio were the very first vessels here on Ryze in helping me learn and grow and meet more great business people who have inspired me even more on my journey. I met Marilyn Jenett here on Ryze and began taking her Prosperity courses. Now I am spreading the word about her Prosperity Program because I want others to benefit like I have.
