We were making crafts, sewing, making jewelry as a hobby at first.  We started doing a few crafts shows and then decided to open a business.



How long have you been in business?

We started doing craft shows in 2004.




What are your favorite hobbies?





Do you find it hard to balance working from home and having to run a
household?

It can be pretty time consuming.  I have more time then my daughter does, as my youngest child is 15, so, it isn't as much an issue for me. She has two children that are 7.  She also holds down a full time job
outside of the home.  She seems to manage quit well, but her time is precious.




Do you take time for yourself everyday?

We both take some time for ourselves everyday.



What is the most challenging thing working from home that you have
had to face?

The most challenging thing seems to be advertising.  It takes a lot of patience and work to get your business name out there for potential customers.




How did you overcome that challenge? 

We are still working with that issue. We just keep looking for resources and get a lot of support from each other and members of the Mompack.




What is the BEST thing about working from home?

Set you own schedules.



What is the Hardest thing about working from home?

So far, nothing.


What advice would you give to someone who is thinking about working
from home?

Patience, discipline and keep working for what you want.

Finally tell us a little bit about where you live, what you like to
do on your downtime with your family and how using your products or services could
help us. 

Family time is important to both of us.  My off time is spent with my husband and family. 

We live on 13 1/2 acres deep in the country.  We  have an orchard, plant a garden each year, have 3 dogs and 3 cats. 

I will resume homeschooling my 15 yr old son this fall.  My daughter spends her offtime with her children and husband.  They enjoy going to the library, video games and doing crafts with the kids.  They usually spend a long day in the country with us a couple times a month.  That time is spent enjoying each others company, eating a lot of good food, often enjoying a bonfire at night and sometimes a good breakfast the next morning, when they spend the night.

A lot of care and love go into our line of products.  Most of our items are one of a kind, unique in their own way.  Nothing is exactly like anything else!
